G’ane Everheart


G’ané Everheart started dancing at the age of 3 at Somerset School of Dancing in the disciplines of ballet and tap. In 1996 she joined UDP and studied ballet, modern, jazz, and hip hop. She later became a member of the Junior Company. and was afforded the opportunity to perform both locally and internationally including Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Since then, G’ané has continued to be active in the performing arts arena whether dancing, acting or discovering a new interest in stage production. She was also a member of Toronto’s Black Ice Step Team which allowed her to perform in the local Toronto circuit and nationwide, including internationally televised events such as BET’s Spring Bling.

G’ané has pursued both a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, and Masters of Science degree in Physiotherapy, with a particular interest in dance rehab. Currently G’ane works as a physiotherapist at KEMH, but ultimately hopes to marry her first love of dance with her career. For the last 4 years, G’ané has returned home to UDP to both teach and offer physio services to the UDP Junior Company. Her interest and desire is to help dancers to realize their full potential, and ultimately help them achieve their dreams.
